Our dedicated equipment range allows us to accommodate a wide variety of grass seeding and turf laying projects. From domestic lawns starting at 50m² through to Sports pitches & sports fields of some 20,000m² and above. ALL our equipment is modern, well maintained, safe & efficient to operate, being specifically designed for the services we offer.

At the smallest end of the scale Pedestrian cultivators designed to break up the soil and prepare it for raking allow us to work on small areas such as goal mouths. For the medium sized to large scale jobs we have two sizes of compact tractor with a full range of specialised implements and attachments. We also have the facility to bring in as necessary a full range of Primary & Secondary cultivation equipment based around modern large horse power tractors.

New Holland Compact Tractors

We have been operating compact tractors for over 12 years now. Our current models the TC 35 DA & TC 45 DA are fitted with SuperSteer axles, Turf Tyres and a Lewis Loader/Bucket combination.

    

The New Holland machines offer the perfect combination of Horse power, size and operating capabilities. The SuperSteer axle means they can operate in the tightest of spaces when necessary & with Sensitrak auto 4 wheel drive and turf tyres, compaction & surface disturbance is kept to a minimum. The Lewis Loader attachment means we can easily spread and level soil, collect and remove debris as we work. Although not as effective as a JCB for bulk material handling, we can operate with a minimum of disruption and where access is restricted.

RotaDairon Stone Burrier/Soil Renovator

All purpose soil finishers these machines perform the following operations in a single pass: Burying of stones-debris-grass and weeds, fine surface preparation, levelling and rolling. We also have specially designed precision seeder attachments which enables grass seed to be sown while performing these operations. The machines blades are contra rotating, therefore the centrifugal force of the cultivation process breaks the soil into a fine crumb and effectively screens the soil as the machine travels forward, pushing stones and debris to the bottom the soil profile. Even when the stone content of the soil is low, we still use these machines since they “renovate” or prepare the soil to a very high quality finish which cannot otherwise be achieved by conventional tractor driven cultivators. We have operated the RotaDairon brand of machine now for more than 12 years. When first introduced into the UK, Rotadairon set the bench mark for stone burriers and quality soil preparation whatever the circumstances or soil type.

Our current range of stone burriers includes: 1metre 1.5 and 2.0 metre machines to accommodate a wide variety of turf laying and grass seeding applications. Over the years the machines have proven to be the best means of creating optimum conditions for grass seeding and turf laying work. Whilst operating outside our home county of Lincolnshire we have worked on new build or renovation projects in Oxfordshire, Surrey, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire & Jersey in the Channel Islands to name a few.

Precision Landscaping Equipment

To compliment the New Holland Compact Tractors have a full range of modern implements including: flail mower, 2 furrow plough, spring-tine cultivator, leveller/grader, Maschio Rotovator, Fertiliser spreader, water ballast flat roll.

Pedestrian machines include precision drop-seeders, rotary fertiliser spreaders, water ballast flat rolls.

Turf Installation/Turf Laying

For big roll turf laying we operate a TIM 755 self propelled Big Roll turf laying machine, or 3 point linkage mounted laying frame to fit on a Compact tractor. For small roll turf laying we have specially made turf laying rakes and handtools to ensure tightly butted joints and edges. This efficient laying method eliminates the need for topdressing over any joints later and aids rapid establishment.

Maintenance equipment

As part of our complete service we are often required to carry out the initial maintenance of newly seeded or turfed areas.

Typically this work will comprise grass cutting ( cut & collect) with a 48 inch cut ride-on mower. Also offered is fertiliser application, selective herbicide application using ATV Quad Bike and rolling.

All equipment is specifically selected for the purpose and with the intention of establishing new sports surfaces and amenity areas as quickly as possible and ready for use.
